Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Stephanie Gee received her Master’s in Education from McGill University and works as a Special Education teacher, drawing her inspiration from the amazing children she teaches. She is currently at work on a series of picture books that promotes the value of education and introduces children to key issues they may confront in the classroom and on the playground. The first, When Kids Rule the School, explores what happens when a child’s imagination takes charge of a school by leading readers on a fantastical journey through the Misfit Academy, where students laugh and play, sing and dance, jump and run, wiggle and giggle, scream and cry, and so much more! The second, Maya Mee and Queen Bee, deals with the issue of bullying and relational aggression among elementary school girls.
